Prolinx Ltd wins Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award

RAFBF Controller, Air Marshal Chris Nikols, presents the award to Andy Weller (left) and Gary Styles of Prolinx Prolinx Ltd, an Oxfordshire-based IT secure solutions and services provider, was honoured with the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the annual Royal Air Force Benevolent Funds Awards evening yesterday.

This is the second time that Prolinx has won an RAF Benevolent Fund Award; last year they were recognised for Innovative Corporate Fundraising.

Andy Weller, Managing Director at Prolinx Ltd, said: "Prolinx is deeply committed to corporate social responsibility. We have seen firsthand how the RAF Benevolent Fund works to help the entire RAF family and knowing how our financial support translates directly into much-needed assistance inspires us to always find new ways of helping."

Prolinx has given more than £300,000 to the charity since 2010 through donations, events, and sponsorships.

Their generosity in branding campaigns has increased awareness of the RAF Benevolent Fund, with RAF Football, Rugby, Skiing, and a sailing team all sporting the charity’s distinctive heart roundel.

They sponsored professional horse racing stables, Lawney Hill Racing, branding the stable and its livery with the charity’s heart roundel. A thoroughbred racehorse, Airmens' Friend, was bought by Prolinx and its winnings are donated to the charity, as well.

Mike Neville, Director of Fundraising at the RAF Benevolent Fund said: "Prolinx's commitment to philanthropy is unrivalled and we are incredibly fortunate to benefit from their generosity. Each year they aim to do and donate more and we are so appreciative for the efforts of Andy Weller, his business partner, Gary Styles, and the entire team at Prolinx."

Andy Weller continued:  "We are proud of our longstanding relationship with the RAF Benevolent Fund.  Many of our staff are former RAF servicemen and women and it was a natural fit for us to support a charity dedicated to supporting the entire RAF family."

The award was presented by RAF Benevolent Fund Controller Air Marshal Chris Nickols. This is the second year that the RAF Benevolent Fund has recognised the stand-out contributions made by a few of the dedicated individuals, stations, and corporate partners who support the charity each year.

The awards ceremony was held at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London.
