RAF Rugby supports the RAF Benevolent Fund

RAF Rugby players will wear their hearts on their sleeves this season with the support of the RAF Benevolent Fund and HP Enterprise Services Ltd.

HP, a long-term Fund supporter, has teamed up with the charity to support the RAF Rugby team. The squad will wear both logos on their strip, including the Fund’s distinctive heart roundel on their shoulders.

Edward Sharman, RAF Benevolent Fund senior corporate partnerships executive, said: "Last year the RAF Benevolent Fund spent nearly £19 million helping almost 40,000 members of the RAF family.

"With the help of the RAF Rugby players we hope we will be able to  engage with new audiences and help spread the message that we are here to help any member of the RAF family who may find themselves in difficult times. As the RAF's leading charity we can offer support in a number of ways, from illness, injury and disability, to financial hardship, relationship issues and youth support for young people growing up on RAF Stations."

Graham Pearson, Air Command Account Manager, Front Line Services with HP, said: "It is a real privilege for HP to be supporting such a worthy cause as the RAF Benevolent Fund and we are incredibly proud and delighted to be backing RAF Rugby, which attracts tremendous interest and support across the Service and acts as a real boost to motivation and morale for our service personnel.

"This year has already been very special after the RAF's first Rugby Interservices crown for 19 years and the upcoming home International Defence Rugby Competition alongside the Rugby World Cup. HP looks forward to continuing our long standing support of the Royal Air Force and our association with the RAF Benevolent Fund for many years to come."
