2015 will see people across the country commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain – the most significant aerial combat campaign in WWII and undoubtedly the RAF's finest hour.
To commemorate this turning point in the nation’s history, Loddon Brewery has produced 'Scramble', which is an excellent bottle of English beer and has very generously agreed to donate five pence from every bottle of beer sold to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
The beer is now being sold in 23 Majestic Wine Warehouse stores throughout the south east of England and Loddon.
Paul Hewson, RAFBF Regional Director, South England, said: "We are extremely grateful to Loddon Brewery for supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund through the sale of Scramble beer.
"It is fitting that Loddon has used traditional ingredients to produce a superior English beer to commemorate the very best of British and those fine men who protected our skies during this iconic battle. I really hope that other outlets will stock this fine beer and by doing so will be supporting a charity that helps over 60,000 serving and former RAF personnel and their families – without any routine government funding."
Chris Hearn, Managing Director, Loddon Brewery Ltd said: "We were delighted to support the RAF Benevolent Fund by producing the aptly named 'Scramble'. What better way to show our own gratitude to the men who fought in the Battle of Britain than through the sale of this fine British 4.4 ABV beer.
"I feel sure that our customers will not only enjoy the traditional ingredients we have used in brewing the beer but also the fact that they will be helping us to support this really worthwhile charity."
