A wonderful Waddington Air Show

Waddington Air Show 2014This year the RAF Benevolent Fund was once again at the Waddington Air Show for two days of thrilling air displays. In this guest blog, our Regional Fundraiser Gemma Mahon tells us more about it.

The Waddington Air Show was a huge success for us this year. Ben Elephant made a much anticipated appearance on Sunday and our fantastic volunteers raised £3,000 in merchandise sales alone at our stand.

At the show spectators were treated to an array of fantastic displays from the likes of the Red Arrows and the Tucano Display Team.

They also saw the last flying Vulcan XH558.

Other aircraft on show included the Chinook and the Typhoon.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Cpl Flitcroft who helped to manage our stand and also Flt Lt James, Fg Off North, Cpl Colombari and Marion Pitt for their fantastic support and dedication over the weekend.
