Christmas

  • Thank you for supporting 1914 – The Carol of Christmas

With Christmas just a few days away, we have been overwhelmed by the massive support for our very first Christmas single 1914 The Carol of Christmas. Stephen Fry, Sir Cliff Richard, Bear Grylls, Boris Johnson and a host of other celebrities have been tweeting about it to their army of followers.

  • No.10 receives 1914 - The Carol of Christmas

Prime Minister David Cameron received an early Christmas present from the RAF Benevolent Fund today when we delivered a copy of our Christmas single to him and wife Samantha.

  • Charity single's tribute to the servicemen of the Great War

This week saw us embarking on a campaign of a different kind – we released a Christmas single with the wonderfully talented RAF Spitfire Choir and Flight Lieutenant Matt Little from RAF College Cranwell.

  • Christmas competition launched as part of Red, White and Blue Day

As part of the national schools fundraising event, Red, White and Blue Day, which takes place each October, children are being asked to design a Christmas card to mark the centenary of WWI.

  • Our family's special Christmas

Corporal Jason Bunker is just one of many RAF personnel who'll be spending Christmas away from their families. In this guest blog, his children Keeley and Elliot tell us how they've split Christmas into parts so that they don't miss out on getting to spend Christmas with their dad.

  • Children's postcards to the troops wing their way to Afghanistan in time for Christmas day

An RAF flight, bound for Camp Bastion, today left RAF Brize Norton carrying hundreds of postcards from schoolchildren up and down the country to the troops serving out in Afghanistan.

  • How our RAF family will be celebrating Christmas

At Christmas there are many RAF personnel who are away from their families. Sisters Alice, Megan and Charlotte Cunningham know what that's like as their dad is currently serving in Afghanistan.

  • Family and Christmas

This Christmas many RAF personnel will be deployed overseas, and will be sorely missed by their loved ones. Yvonne, whose husband Andy is serving in Afghanistan, talks about Christmas without him in this blog.

  • Early Christmas present from the Typhoon Display Team

The RAF Typhoon Display Team has presented the RAF Benevolent Fund with a cheque for more than £5000.

  • RAFBF Christmas tree

Graham and Jo Laurie are long time ambassadors for the RAF Benevolent Fund. This year Graham and Jo have entered a RAF Benevolent Fund themed tree in the Great Missenden Christmas Tree Festival.
